Wings of Fear 3D Pistons at dawn - If you loved Wings on the Amiga, then this upcoming by SteveB and Roar Tjørhom might be worth checking out!

If you loved playing Wings by Cinemaware or Red Baron by Dynamix, then make sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming game called 'Wings of Fear 3D - Pistons at Dawn'. An ambitious flight combat title that aims to push classic hardware to its limits by blending two distinct gameplay styles into a cohesive World War I aviation campaign. To coincide with this news, we've got some more details about this game that is being developed by Microlyte TankZone creator Steve Birch, and Roar Tjørhom, the creator of the incredible Amiga Shoot 'em up Wings of Fear.

While the project is still in its early stages of development, the duo has outlined a unique dual-perspective structure. Players will navigate a series of progressively difficult historical missions that not only feature 3D dogfights with fast-paced, tactical aerial combat utilizing a custom 3D engine, but also 2D bombing runs with tactical missions focused on destroying factories and vital enemy installations. To achieve this ambitious mix of 3D rendering and 2D environments, the developers are targeting advanced classic Amiga configurations. The game is being built specifically for AGA Amigas equipped with Fast RAM, ensuring the hardware has enough horsepower to maintain smooth frame rates during intense dogfights.

  3. Very nice so far. Key element needed for true Wings feel - the dynamic diary entries between each mission.
