Malasombra - This NES title by 4mhz looks fantastic and is still available to buy!

4Mhz has been one of our favourite Amstrad publishers, releasing fabulous games such as Operation Alexandra and even the brilliant The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtémoc! But today's news isn't about the Amstrad. As we’ve been informed by A Gamer that if you head over to the shop link below, you can still buy the eagerly awaited NES game called Malasombra. A game which features high-quality detail, fabulous sound, and will hopefully turn out to be—as they put it—a NES masterpiece for your collection.

Malasombra pulls you into a world packed with dark spells, forbidden magic, and dangerous palace drama. It is a classic tale of witches, wizards, princesses, and bounty hunters, where nothing is quite what it seems. You play as Pirou, a regular guy and aspiring magician whose wedding day takes a disastrous turn. Right before he can say "I do," the evil sorcerer Malasombra crashes the party, kidnaps Pirou's bride, and turns all the wedding guests into frogs. To save his love and break the curse, Pirou must hunt down the scattered pages of a legendary, forbidden grimoire. Each page unlocks powerful transmutations and new abilities, giving him the magical edge he needs to defeat Malasombra, rescue his bride, and restore peace to the kingdom.
