Electrobots - A new arcade platformer for your Acorn Electron, BBC Micro and BBC Master

If you're looking for something different other than all the retro systems we usually feature on Indie Retro News such as the Amstrad, C64 or ZX Spectrum, then how about this brand new game from 0xc0de called 'Electrobots', A game developed for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro and BBC Master as an 8-bit game that features lots of levels, different themed worlds, coin collection, smooth character animation, and sometimes deadly enemies!

Knight Orc - Level 9 Software's BBC Micro/Master version recovered and released!

Rockball wasn't the only game lost into the outter regions of space and found tumbling back to Earth, as thanks to a heads up from a good friend of ours, we've been told that Level 9 Software's BBC Micro/Master version of ' Knight Orc ', has been recovered and released upon the retro community! This game according to the stardot forums may have been in the possession of the Centre from Computing History, and was successfully archived thanks to a collective effort from Stardot members at this weekend's ABug meetup in Cambridge.

Stunt Car Racer - A mind blowing port released for the BBC Master

Of all the games to appear on the Amiga, this in my opinion was one of the best stunt style racers, it had some of the craziest tracks and the ultimate track the "Ski Jump". What made it so good was not just the feeling of speed, but the thrill of accelerating into the sky and coming back down with an almighty crack. It was one of Geoff Crammonds finest games, and now thanks to a heads up by te_lanus we've learnt an incredible port has been released on the BBC Master by The Bitshifters Collective!

Prince of Persia - A brilliant retro gaming classic gets a BBC Master port!

Today just gets better and better as just moments ago Inverse Phase contacted us directly to tell us the BBC Master port of an all time classic platformer ' Prince of Persia ' is complete and ready for download. This game was released in 1989 by Brøderbund for multiple systems and featured lots of well designed platforming levels and extreme danger, as you must be careful not to fall through loose floors, get hit by sword wielding guards, crushed by gates or at worst skewered in blood on deadly spikes.

Prince of Persia is being ported from the Apple 2 to BBC Master!

Owners and original players of the 1986 BBC Master will be pleased with this news to start the week, as we've been told by Andy that the hit classic Prince of Persia is being ported over to the BBC Master from the Apple II by Kieranhj. This game was first released by Brøderbund in the late 80's and appeared on a multitude of systems such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, MS-DOS, Master System, Mega Drive and yes even the Apple II.
