HOT NEWS as Prince of Persia has been converted over to the Commodore Plus/4!

We've just come across a hot news story via the Plus/4 world website, that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia'; a game which was released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund. As well as a more recent homebrew port for both the Atari XL/XE, Commodore Vic-20, and Sega Mega Drive. Has been converted over to the Commodore Plus/4 by Csabo, TCFS and Unreal.

Another interesting story for you all, as we have just been told by VIPER's Retrogame videos, that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia'; a game which was released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund. As well as a more recent homebrew port for both the Atari XL/XE and Sega Mega Drive. Has been converted over to the Commodore Vic-20 by Pedro Bermejo! As in the words of Viper "Released in 2024, a conversion of the game for the fully expanded VIC-20 (+35k, PAL only), inspired by the ZX Spectrum version, albeit with some differences".

Prince of Persia - A classic game as another tech demo for the ColecoVision, MSX and SG-1000

Remember when we said that the classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia' was getting a ColecoVision, MSX and SG-1000 port by Under4Mhz? A game which has been released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund. Well there's some great news today! As thanks to another heads up from a good friend of ours, we've been told that the project is progressing well, with another tech demo for you download and play right now.

Another interesting story for you all, as we have just been told through Saberman that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia'; a game which has been released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund, may well be getting a ColecoVision and MSX port by Under4Mhz. While we don't know if this will be a fully featured experience, Under4Mhz has made available a simple technical demo of the first level downloadable below Saberman's gameplay video.

Prince of Persia is not only a game that featured lots of well designed platforming levels, but the game is full of danger as you must be careful not to fall through loose floors, get hit by sword wielding guards, crushed by gates or at worst skewered in blood on deadly spikes.

This game was originally released in 1989 by Brøderbund for multiple systems and featured lots of well designed platforming levels and extreme danger, as you must be careful not to fall through loose floors, get hit by sword wielding guards, crushed by gates or at worst skewered in blood on deadly spikes.

Although this is not a new demo or a new feature update, thanks to another great video by Saberman, he has done a footage walkthrough of the 7 levels of the upcoming 'Prince of Persia' port; a port of an all time classic game released in 1989 by Brøderbund which is currently being developed by Rensoup. MINI PRINCE - One whole level of ASCII Prince of Persia platforming fun coming to MS-DOS [RELEASED]


What a great Friday this is turning out to be, as just moments ago we were told that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia', is getting a one level make over into a full ASCII experience. Yes indeed thanks to a heads up from the developer Anne Bras, we've been told the upcoming game which is being called Mini Prince, will be a cute fan-made fantasy platformer for MS-DOS systems, as a completely stripped down to its bare minimum and thrown into a shrinking device version of Prince of Persia.

It was only just last month that we announced that the 1989 classic platformer of Prince of Persia by Brøderbund, was not only coming to the Atari XL/XE as a conversion/port by Rensoup, but also  the Intellivision by Matthew Kiehl. Fast forward to this week however and thanks to another heads up by Saberman, we've been told this very difficult game with its well designed levels and extreme danger, has been much improved in the latest WIP 20/01/13 release which can be downloaded below.

Today just gets better and better as just moments ago Inverse Phase contacted us directly to tell us the BBC Master port of an all time classic platformer ' Prince of Persia ' is complete and ready for download. This game was released in 1989 by Brøderbund for multiple systems and featured lots of well designed platforming levels and extreme danger, as you must be careful not to fall through loose floors, get hit by sword wielding guards, crushed by gates or at worst skewered in blood on deadly spikes.

Prince of Persia is being ported from the Apple 2 to BBC Master!


Owners and original players of the 1986 BBC Master will be pleased with this news to start the week, as we've been told by Andy that the hit classic Prince of Persia is being ported over to the BBC Master from the Apple II by Kieranhj. This game was first released by Brøderbund in the late 80's and appeared on a multitude of systems such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, MS-DOS, Master System, Mega Drive and yes even the Apple II.

With the awesome looking dungeon crawler of ' Argus ' coming to a C64 near you - August 26th 2017. T Storey, G Rottensteiner, A Volkers and S Collier have once again been teasing their latest in development Indiana Jones style game 'Legend of Atlantis '. While the team is still working on other projects such as Organism and Soulless 2, Legend of Atlantis looks like it will fit a nice gap in the C64 treasure hunting genre, especially with a whip to defend yourself with and the knowledge of secret tombs.

Prince of Persia - A brilliant retro game open sourced and free to play


Earlier today we mentioned Brøderbund's 1989 retro gaming classic of Prince of Persia, which was given an enhanced audio and performance treatment for the Atari STe by Peter Putnik. Well now we are going to go that one step further as it's time to announce the update release of the free open source port update of the MS-DOS version of Prince of Persia, which works perfectly on modern systems with a simple click of an exe file!

From 1989 onwards Brøderbund released the hit classic action platformer game 'Prince of Persia' on a multitude of systems such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST and MS-DOS. A true brilliance for its time and still worth playing today, featured many platforming levels and high danger which was usually met with falling floors, sword wielding enemies, crashing grates and at worst deadly spikes. This incredible game however has again appeared in our news feeds, but this time thanks to a heads up by AtariCrypt has been audio-enhanced by Peter Putnik for the Atari STe.
