The Atari ST and The Creative People Vol. 3 - The third in the Atari ST book trilogy gets a crowd funding campaign


Great news Atari ST owners as if you've been backing Marco A. Breddin's 'The Atari ST and The Creative People' book crowd funding campaigns and had already received them, you'll be pleased to know he has launched a new campaign for the third in the trilogy as The Atari ST and The Creative People Vol. 3. This book series exposes the Atari Corporation, surpasses the marketing of Atari Computers and explores the contemporary life of a demo scene, whose creative people were on a rollercoaster ride to the blooming digital entertainment industry.

New Compatible A500(+) case campaign is nearing completion but needs your help! ( FINAL DAY )


If you've been following Indie Retro News throughout the last few years you would've by now received a lovely new Amiga 1200 case in your hands all glistening in a colour of your choice, which shows how reliable the team behind the Kickstarter was at getting the products to your door. Fast forward to this year however and the same team as A1200.net are hoping the Amiga 500(+) case crowd funding campaign to be equally successful, but at 96% of a $155,000 goal and just half a day to go, they need all the help they can get to hit that goal.

New Compatible A500(+) case campaign live streams


As many of you are aware, A1200.net are currently running a crowd funding campaign for new compatible Amiga 500 and A500+ cases to replace the current case you have at home, which by now has most likely gone yellow. Now unlike the previous campaign for new A1200 cases which did end up as a huge success, so far this one still has a long stretch to go with just $60,052 raised of a $155,000 goal. But read on as you'll see why there is still a chance of this campaign hitting its goal.

New Compatible A500(+) case campaign gets a worthy Scourge update


As you were aware, recently the A1200.net team had launched their newest crowd funding campaign for new compatible A500 and A500+ cases, aiming to either reach that $155,000 goal or smash it for even further case colours and even a new mouse tank case. Well it looks as if the campaign has had a much needed kick up the backside, because not only can you pledge for special editions such as bronze, silver, gold, Apollo or Vampire SE but Eleventh Hour Games has joined the campaign with their rather awesome Scourge of the Underkind Collectors Edition!

After the recent success of the new coloured cases and keycaps for the Amiga 1200 such as blue, black, red and specials. We are pleased to finally announce it's the Amiga 500's turn, as A1200.net has launched the IndieGoGo campaign for new Compatible A500(+) cases. Basically if you've felt a little left out with the previous campaign, now is your time to bring your Amiga 500 out of its yellow shell with eye candy colours to show off to all your friends... Or just creamy white just as it came out of the show room.

BOSS - A brand new Atari 2600 game gets an Indiegogo campaign


Get ready to do some blasting 70's style as a new game has been announced for the Atari 2600 called 'BOSS' which is currently aiming for a successful funding through Indiegogo. Developed by industry vet Jason Santuci of Gemintronic and project lead Dave Vogt who worked on the classic Doom and Wolfenstein 3D mods, this is a single player shoot em up with a powerful ship at your disposal that must be used against mighty bosses, each varying in size, strength and behaviour.

The 64 - A new C64 concept is seeking crowd funding through Indiegogo!


Retro computer hardware recreations are flying high! Off the back of the Spectrum Vega project comes a new concept to do a similar treatment to the Commodore 64. "THE 64" project is hoping to bring desktop keyboard and handheld console form factors to life. Can a dream team in the driving seat with a keen eye on what the people actually want be enough to make this project a reality? We certainly hope so!

Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega+ gets an Indiegogo campaign


Just a few short months after Clive Sinclair's latest offering, the ZX Spectrum Vega, was released, the crowdfunding campaign for its successor has begun. The team at Retro Computers Ltd, with the backing of Sir Clive and Sky (now owners of Amstrad's intellectual property rights), have taken all the good stuff that went into the original Vega and added an 'increased colour palette', stereo sound and a built in LCD screen to make an improved and truly portable Sinclair experience.

RPGolf - A hybrid RPG Golf game mix gets an Indiegogo campaign


We've just been informed by Riccardo Castelnuovo and the team at gaming startup ArticNet who are based in Osaka, Japan, of a new game called ' RPGolf ' that is aiming for Indiegogo funding for iOS, Android, PC and Mac. Classed as a hybrid RPG Golf game in an open-world, the developers have taken the boredom of golf and added a unique twist based on the beautiful surroundings you usually see when playing the game in real life.

Sebastian Frank: The Beer Hall Putsch - Artistic Adventure set in the aftermath of WWI!


A new Indiegogo campaign has begun for a wonderfully designed Adventure set in Germany, in the aftermath of WW1. Designed by Cláudio Fernandes with a small independent team, ' Sebastian Frank: The Beer Hall Putsch ', has you as the player Sebastian Frank on a mission to stop the evil Hitler from seizing power and causing all out war across Europe. You must use your ingenuity to solve puzzles in this captivating Point and Click Adventure that is aiming for a successful goal of €30,000 EUR!

Them's Fightin' Herds - Furries kicking major ass via Indiegogo & Steam Greenlight!

Foxtail - Furry fantastic adventure aims for crowd funding


Years ago in the 90's, there was an incredible furry like adventure game called 'Inherit the Earth', which was released for specific platforms such as the Amiga, Mac OS and DOS. It featured anthropomorphic animals (Furries) with a great storyline, lovely fantasy detail and characters with their own personalities. So it came as no surprise to us after our previous feature of 'Foxtail' by Gingertips, that their gorgeous pixelated adventure of similar design became a Steam Greenlight success in just 9 days with over 300 comments and subscribers! However the news isn't just of their success, but a new Indiegogo crowd funding campaign that they hope will raise €60,000 EUR in just 30days!

Jeroen Tel - legendary C64 composer aims for Indiegogo funding for Tel Me More


When it comes to games and or movies, what really sets them off is a good soundtrack, it can give you many different emotions depending on the type of music that is being played. For example listening to a powerful orchestra would probably be suited to either a battle or a love scene. So it will come as no surprise to you that this exact same feeling goes with games as well. But a bad game can still be noted just by it's incredible soundtrack. Thus with this latest indiegogo announcement, the C64 composer legend that is Jeroen Tel has launched his crowd funding campaign for 'Tel Me More' which is a remake of Jeroen Tel's most memorable Commodore 64 video game soundtracks.

A Keycap crowd funding campaign for the C64!


One of the best crowd funding campaigns has begun for the C64 and this time it is not a special music album, or a new game but a hardware based improvement that every C64 owner should be looking into. An Indiegogo campaign started by Michael via Austria which features brand new Keycaps from a multiple choice of colours, such as black, white, red or even green!

Genesia Legacy: Turn-based strategy game from an Amiga classic on Indiegogo


In 1993 Microids and Software Toolworks released a brilliant strategy game called Ultimate Domain (Genesia) for the Amiga. It was very similar to other classic strategy games of that time, as you started in the 17th century and had to colonize the new world, but also having to search for 'The Seven Jewels of Genesia'. It was one of my most favourite games of all time and I was very pleased today to get the news that a new Indiegogo campaign has begun for Genesia Legacy; a re-imagining of that great game.

SEEP Universe - Action platformer with a retro flavour through Indiegogo


SEEP, creators of those fine beat em up and fighting style retro inspired remakes have now set their goals towards an action-platform game for the PC inspired by the 8-16 bit in the form of 'SEEP Universe'. Currently going through an Indiegogo campaign and aiming for a $1,500 goal, you play as Sergio and Enrico, members of SEEP and must save the universe by crossing through various arcade systems that have been hacked by a mysterious AI.

The Dark Inside Me - 18+ disturbing adventure game gets an Indiegogo/Steam Greenlight campaign


You may have read about the latest Action game called Hatred which spawned rather a lot of controversy, but there's another game which could push the boundaries of sickening and that is "The Dark Inside Me"; a new Adventure from horror movie director Akçay Karaazmak. Currently going through both an Indiegogo and Steam Greenlight campaign with a high +18 rating for PC,Mac & Linux. The Dark Inside Me is a 2d,5 next-gen unique 3rd person point and click psychological horror that aims to reflect the real characteristic of a player through the game and see how far players would push their limits. Especially as it has disturbing gore, sex and intense violent scenes!

There Was A Caveman - Prehistoric retro inspired platformer gets a double campaign


Lets go back in time, the time of the prehistoric era! "There Was A Caveman", the last living caveman, alone in a world overrun by dinosaurs. Thankfully he's no shy scared caveman as he's ventured out of his cave to save the world and hopefully find a female specimen to rebuild his caveman civilization. Yet all of this comes down to you, as not only does the developer need your Steam Greenlight votes but funding through IndieGoGo to make this retro inspired platformer a success.

Palm Kingdoms 3 on Indiegogo until December 14th


The developers at iosoftware are currently working on Palm Kingdoms 3: A 'Heroes of Might and Magic inspired' turn based strategy game for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Mac OS X, and Windows. Palm Kingdoms 3 is currently on Indiegogo until December 14th.
