How quick the years pass as once again it is time to celebrate ' International Amiga Day ' which is held every 31st May in celebration of Jay Miner who, according to Gyorgy Dragon(RIP), was the father of the Amiga and today is his birthday! Celebrating 30 years of fun, it's time to celebrate all that is Amiga, from Amiga games to the Amiga hardware. The retro community want to keep the Commodore Amiga name alive and what better way to do that than an anniversary to the day dedicated to the great system. What an incredible line of retro computer systems from the A500 to the A4000, if you lived during that era of gaming then it was one of the greatest moments in our retro history.

International Amiga Day - May 31st 2016
How quick the years pass as once again it is time to celebrate ' International Amiga Day ' which is held every 31st May in celebration of Jay Miner who, according to Gyorgy Dragon, was the father of the Amiga and today is his birthday! Amiga owners and Emulation users across the globe will be once again playing original Amiga games, fixing the original hardware and even giving the old girl a new look with a spruced up paint job. In fact this International Amiga Day, is even more worthy of celebration as not only did we see the release of the beastly accelerator the A600 Vampire II for the Amiga 600, but also a Kickstarter success for the 'New AMIGA 1200 Cases (Made From New Molds)' by Philippe Lang.
Amiga Resurrection Part 3-4 by Alistair B - Cleanup on aisle 9 for International Amiga Day
Last time I had spent a rather long time rummaging through boxes, looking for caches of disks and other miggy related gubbins, and to my surprise discovered pretty much everything I expected to find. Lots of disks, the Amiga itself, modulator, PSU, A590 hard drive and it's PSU. The gang's all here, but it's now time for the scary part. Switch-On! I don't really want to blow up my old friend so I'll be making sure all reasonable precautions are taken before subjecting her to the power.
International Amiga Day - The day has come to celebrate the Amiga!
Rejoice all you retro gamers as the time has finally come to get your Amiga out and relive the golden years of the Amiga 500, 1200 or whatever system you had at the time. It's International Amiga Day which is in celebration of Jay Miner who, according to Gyorgy Dragon, was the father of the Amiga and today is his birthday. And what better way to celebrate that day than to do something related to the Amiga, it can be playing Amiga games on an emulator, using the original hardware or turning the old girl white again through a multitude of chemicals. This is going to be a great day as thousands or even millions of gamers around the world will be celebrating what I myself had the pleasure of playing.
