Fran Bow - Creepy adventure gets imminent release

I love it when the crowdfunding model works. Back in August 2013, Killmonday games were successful in raising over $28K for their biggest project to date via Indiegogo, and while it's taken a year longer than originally expected, Fran Bow is finally being released next week! Fran Bow is billed as a creepy 2D adventure based around a dysfunctional asylum for children which Fran is a resident of after finding the dismembered remains of her parents.

This latest trailer shows off it's very creepy atmosphere with oodles of blood, and also the mention of a GOG and Steam release.

Stasis - Epic looking Point & Click, Sci-fi Horror Adventure Game gets an update!

We've just been given the heads up from African based developer, Christopher Bischoff that his PC 2D isometric point and click adventure, Stasis has had a brand new update. Stasis follows the game-play mechanics of classics like Space Quest, Kings Quest, the Monkey Island series, The Dig and Day of the Tentacle and the critically acclaimed, Sanitarium and twists it into a dark horror filled adventure set on a desolate spacecraft. Mudlarks - Classic point and click adventure title with a hint of quirkiness!

For those interested in classic point and click adventure titles with a hint of quirkiness then Mudlarks might be for you. The developer describes it as having elements of 'science fiction' and the 'supernatural', but judging from the looking at the game, I'd also say a good dose of humour too.

Black Sect - Another top quality Remake, and this time a 1993 Adventure!

Today we are going to look at a different style of game to that of what has been posted so far, as this is an old Adventure title with a first person view point. Black Sect (1993) by Lankhor and remade by HandsFree, is very similar to other games such as Death Gate and Shannara, in that each screen has a first person point and click interactive interface. You are tasked to find the Black Sect's hideout and return a spell book to Issegeac. And it's this, through the many beautifully created scenes you'll be solving puzzles with the multiple items that have been collected and stored in your inventory to achieve your quest. Overall in my opinion the game isn't too bad but as the developer states : Lankhor's Black Sect is a great game. It has however a few features that where normal in 1993 but aren't so popular today. The game is timed, has dead ends, only 5 save slots, 20+ action icons, no smart cursor and you can die. But as it's free, go ahead and enjoy it.
