Aquanoids - High quality ZX Spectrum homebrew is now available

Just last week we gave you the exclusive heads up over Neil Parsons (Program Bytes 48k) homebrew underwater action game that was due to be released on Sunday (link). Well that day has come and we can officially announce that the final release of 'Aquanoids' for the ZX Spectrum, which is powered by the Mojon Twins MK2 engine is now here. Available in both English and Spanish, you play as the robot AQ-5 and are tasked with exploring the depths of the ocean to recover batteries and lost items, while also avoiding enemy squids, crabs and other such nasties in the deep under water depths.

Ever since we first played the early version of Aquanoids we were impressed by what was on offer but did come across a number of bugs and issues, with one of them being stuck in a deadly set of traps and thus unable to get out. But rest assured I ever every faith in Neil Parsons (Program Bytes 48k) fixing those issues and releasing a great game. It's just a shame due to time constraints we are unable to do a full review this weekend.

For further information such as development and game story make sure to read Neil's informative blog update that was posted today.
