CannonBall - Enhanced Outrun engine requires fast Amiga - Vampire or better!

The day has only just begun and already Indie Retro News is on the case with the latest news, as here we have the latest enhanced engine edition of Outrun as 'CannonBall' released for the Amiga by Modern Vintage Gamer 2017. Now this game was first released in 1986 by Sega in the Arcades, with later ports to systems such as the Amstrad, Amiga and many others, but sadly many of the ports were shockingly poor such as the Amiga with bad graphics and not so good frame rates. This Enhanced Outrun Engine edition improves the game ten fold, with not just arcade like graphics but superior frame rates, although a Vampire or better is highly recommended!

Already you can tell just how good this game now looks in the video above, as not only is it super smooth apart from some dips in later stages, but the graphics are much better than the original Amiga version. However it isn't a perfect 1:1 port, as some of the shadow sprites have been disabled for more frame rates, the background graphics have also been disabled for more fps, and Yamaha YM2151 and PCM sounds have been replaced with .mod files and sound effects, of which the coder is looking for a better. As for future developments, many of the enhanced features have been disabled but will be added later.
