A special treat for Amiga owners, and yes it's rather late here in the UK, as DamienD via the EAB forums has made available two Amiga games ' Final Odyssey ' and ' The Strangers ', as easily launchable files on a real Amiga without the need for a CD Rom drive. After previously releasing the 'OnEscapee AGA' another World/Flashback style game which was fully patched for the Amiga from an Amiga CD release. He has decided to use his skills on two other Amiga CD only games, which can be downloaded as either .HDF or more especially .LHA files, that can be unpacked and played directly on a real Amiga, without as we said a real CD Rom drive.
In regards to the games themselves, The Strangers is a highly challenging beat em up game as either gang warfare or deathmatch through 8 levels, and was released in 1997 by Vulcan Software, developed by Cypron Studios and was the first game released by Vulcan as part of the MegaSeries collection with up to 6 player support.
As for Final Odyssey, that too was published by Vulcan Software, the third game released by Vulcan as part of the MegaSeries collection and is an adventure game where you must solve puzzles and destroy the Minotaur and rescue all the girls that have been imprisoned. Oh and it's also a very good game created by a single person with brilliant graphics and an excellent learning curve!
