A gendev member by the name of SegaTim, has teased a work in progress Civilization for the Sega Genesis and Sega Mega Drive as a port of the original hit classic called Civgen! Now I'm sure many of you have heard of the highly addictive management game called Civilization by Microprose, well the developer 'sadhedg' who is a huge fan of the original game, has not only teased a number of images of the port, but has also released an early Alpha Demo.
As noted by RomhackingRU, Sadhedg, with the help of the SGDK library and PL C, is currently developing the “ Civgen ” port , which is the unofficial port of “ Sid Meier's Civilization ” for the 16-bit Sega Mega Drive / Genesis game console . He has already implemented the basic functionality and posted for general familiarization the assembly of the game, in which the movement of units, the screen of the city and the cycle of bypassing cities at the beginning of the turn are implemented. Two people can already play against each other, but there is really no AI yet.
