It's the turn of the Sega Megadrive/Genesis for a new game announcement, as the classic Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and DOS game 'Rick Dangerous' has been released as a remastered edition for the Sega Megadrive and Genesis called 'Rick Dangerous DX' by Z-Team. A game that will make you feel like an Indiana Jones character traversing dangerous locations such as caves and temples while avoiding the bad guys and deadly boulders and spiked traps.
A bit of a late heads up for this one, as a good friend of ours, has recently informed us, that Gasega68k has released an early work in progress version of 'G-ZERO' for the Sega Mega Drive. A game that is inspired by the SNES title of 'F-Zero'. The first game in the series originally released for the Super NES, as the first game for the platform to use a technique by Nintendo called "Mode 7 Scrolling". We have just been tagged via Erik Hogan creator of the Scorpion Engine, that Master Linkuei has announced the release of the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Genesis game of Hayato's Journey. As in the words of Erik "This is a fan sequel to Master System classic Kenseiden. It is also the very first full length Scorpion title to appear on the Mega Drive/Genesis. No guarantees, but there may be ports to Amiga AGA and NeoGeo in the future". To coincide with this news, we've got some new footage of the game as well as a brief game story from the developer.

There isn't a Shoot 'em up that I'd turn away from just to pick up a power up and blast a few waves of enemies! So to see a high quality shoot em up that's in development by White Ninja Studio called 'Irena Genesis Metal Fury' for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis certainly piqued my wave blasting interest!
