We've mentioned a lot of creative Jams through our time on Indie Retro News, from Jams such as Game Boy Jam, ZX Spectrum Jam and CGA Jam, but now we turn our attention to something slightly different. As thanks to a heads up from Chris, he has told us of the launch of the Adventuron CaveJam 2019; the first ever Adventuron (illustrated) text adventure game creation jam, adapting the provided source code (see bottom of this page) of a bare-bones text adventure, and adapting it into a better game!
According to Chris through our emails, he has told us the idea of the competition is to flesh out the single puzzle adventure game, using the supplied source code. He goes on to say the Cave of Magic game itself has put into the public domain (excluding graphics), and full terms are available with rules set for entry on the main itch.io website! For those of you interested in prizes, there is now a prize draw, with all qualifying entrants (terms and conditions apply) having the chance to win a Raspberry Pi 4 2GB... Sweeet!
