EAB user Earok has been busy at work getting CD32 compatible versions together of Amiga games that never had a release on Commodore's CD console, and for the month of September are planning on getting one released each day, Starting with the brilliant Delphine classic, Flashback.
The EAB thread which is charting the progress of the project can be found here, while all the releases are being logged officially at Unofficial CD32 Ports with download links from each page.
As well as doing custom CD-Slipcase cover artwork, the customisations that have been made for the CD32 versions are:
- The brilliant WHDLoad slave with CD32 joypad support, speed corrected cutscenes and level/difficult select capability.
- CDXL intro, derived from the 2013 remake.
- Controls screen.
- Level and difficulty selection screen.
Uses: WHDLoad by Wepl, Slave by JOTD and Psygore
Cover, Controls Screen and Level Screen: Steve
ISO Master: Earok
So if you have a CD32 and want to expand the range of titles playable natively, then you'll definitely want to keep an eye out on EAB, the Unofficial CD32 webpage or even here on IndieRetroNews.
