Wings Remastered - A remastered version of a hit classic now available!

Put your flight goggles on, start your rotors and take off as Cinemaware has finally announced the release of Wings Remastered! Developed by that well known company of Cinemaware and after a retry Kickstarter success, Wings : Remastered is a World War 1 dogfighting game intermixed with top down bombing runs and strafing missions in an arcade theme.

For those that didn't get to play the original Wings, it was and still is one of the best Amiga games ever released. It not only had the immersion as you gained in rank and followed the history of World War 1, but it really did feel like you were actually a pilot taking down the German enemy. Cinemaware have also put a lot of work into remastering the graphics from the original to the latest remastered version. However as for me even though I did enjoy the beta, I still prefer the original (Which is also available on Android), (that's rose tinted nostalgic glasses for you).

Before/After

Wings Remastered is available on the backer page for Kickstarter funders or Steam (unlocks in 6 days). For those of you who want to see what the original Wings is like on the Amiga, a PC portable edition is available HERE, although it will be removed if the Wings original goes up for sale on GOG

  1. For those wanting to know about other systems...
iOS and Android: these versions will require a further 2-3 weeks of additional development and testing, since we do not want to simply release a port of the game. We are adapting the touch interface and controls in order to take advantage of those platforms' unique capabilities. We hope this additional wait is acceptable.
Mac: we are aiming to get the Mac version out during next week, between the 13th-17th.
