Now here's a blast from the past it's 'GODS', an original game by the Bitmap Brothers which was released in 1991-2 for the Amiga, Atari ST, PC, SNES and Sega Megadrive. It is without doubt a brilliant action platformer that was loved by many and those that reviewed it for commercial magazines. It also had that famous tune ' Into The Wonderful ' which if you said it to any Amiga gamer would probably go crazy with the tune playing over and over again in their heads in a constant loop. But today's news is a big update of 'Gods Deluxe' by jotd, which is the PC remake of the 1991 game but with all of the classic levels complete and there's 4 extra full levels as well.
Set in ancient Greece, you are the warrior Hercules on a quest for immortality. Your task is to rid your city of demons by defeating them while also solving puzzles, picking up items, pulling levers and completing each set level. A game that is highly praised even today, has been remade for PC owners and updated with (updated) JOTD levels, a nearly 100% walkthrough as a text file in "doc" directory, custom graphics with freezing fixed, level 2 now playable with invincibility, fixed fall sound and many more fixes included.
A worthy remake indeed, and looks great too! Just make sure to have Java installed or it wont work.
