Blasphemous - Adventure creators The Game Kitchen announce a brutal platformer!
The first time I heard of The Game Kitchen was when I played their brilliant pixelated horror adventure game ' The Last Door '. It was a game that turned into a series, which had me hooked right from the very beginning, and that wasn't just because of the story but also the characters, the tiny pixels and the dark menacing overtones. Well that same team behind that game, has just announced ' Blasphemous ', a gorgeous looking platformer that once again follows the dark and menacing theme.
In this game you play as The Penitent One, armed with a fearsome sword and wearing a metal mask and armour. You must traverse a disturbing hellscape, a vast world full of unforgettable and otherworldly places where hordes of blasphemous enemies and huge bosses will try to take you down. All of this and much more as noted by The Game Kitchen, will be crafted by some of the greatest pixel-artists and animators out there under the direction of Enrique Cabeza, the creative mastermind behind 'The Last Door'!
Certainly a game to keep an eye on during the development stage that's for sure, but as for a release date, the developers are considering a Kickstarter around may, with a playable demo at some point this year.
