Peridium - A brilliant Adventure game with a classic horror movie vibe

I'm sure there's not a person out there that hasn't heard of John Carpenter's 'The Thing'; a 1980's horror film starring Kurt Russell set in an Antarctic research station against a horrific parasitic extraterrestrial lifeform. But would you like to play a game that feels very similar, and is an adventure point and click game by Powerhoof? You would good! Because here is 'Peridium', a short horror game where you play as Dr James Turner, who is about to have his life turned upside down stationed at an Antarctic research base studying ancient fungal organisms buried deep below the ice.

For a short game made in just one week for the #AdvJam2017, Peridium is an incredibly good adventure game, that will make you wonder how the developers put all this together with a brilliant story, art and almost perfect voice overs. It's also a genre I prefer and I'm a real sucker for horror and anything that makes me feel like I'm watching The Thing all over again. In fact of all the adventure games released this year so far that isn't commercial, Peridium is on top form. So give it a go today, you'll be glad you did!
