1982 - 1983 Classic Arcade game 'Kangaroo' gets an Atari 8bit makeover by TIX

Another retro gaming article to keep you company and yes we've certainly had a busy week so far, is a brand new game hack for the Atari XL/XE called 'Kangaroo'. This latest addition to a long list of game hacks that have been seen for this system already, is a hack of the 1982-1983 Atari 8bit version. A new hack by TIX, which doesn't just feature a graphical makeover of the character sprites such as the Kangaroo, but also the Fruits, Bell and the leaves of the trees.

According to the wikipedia for this game, as I never actually played it in the Arcades or on any 8bit system, Kangaroo is a four-screen platform game released in arcades in 1982 by Sun Electronics and distributed in North America by Atari, Inc. Kangaroo is one of the first arcade games similar in style to Donkey Kong without being a direct clone. The player takes the role of a boxing glove-wearing mother kangaroo who is trying to rescue her child from fruit-throwing monkeys.
