ACE Battle Over The Sea - A cool 1942 inspiration arrives on the Commodore Amiga via the Blitz Basic Game Jam

In 1984 a great shoot 'em up was released for the Arcade by Capcom and that game was 1942. A game in which you shoot down enemy planes, avoided being shot out of the sky and performed awesome rolls while collecting power ups. It was an awesome game and still is today, but thanks to DarkGiver and his Blitz Basic Game Jam entry, we have a brand new Arcade Shoote 'em up for the Amiga that is inspired by 1942/3 called 'ACE Battle Over The Sea'. In light of this news, Saberman has done a new gameplay video of the game which as ever is viewable below.

If you've ever played that classic game then you know what to expect with this one, fly your plane over the Sea and destroy all the other enemy planes that come your way. Be warned however this is a challenging game to play, as not only will you have many enemy waves to deal with and an end of level boss, but the bullets will come at you from all directions. Still the game isn't too bad as a game jam entry, but could do with some extra landscapes such as islands just to add more flavor to the game.

Minimum system requirements : Amiga PAL OCS/ECS with 1MB Chip Memory
