Green Beret - A retro classic for the Amiga as an Arcade(ish) conversion gets a December update

Green Beret(Rush n Attack) was an action arcade game released by Konami in 1985. It is remembered for its Cold War setting and its reliance on the player using a knife or even a flame thrower to dispatch enemies. Well if you liked this game at the Arcades or the 8bit ports such as the Amstrad or C64, you'll pleased to learn that the previously announced Arcade(like) conversion of Green Beret which is still being developed by Dante Mendes for the Amiga, has since got a December update!

Thanks to another heads up via Saberman, we have learnt that this version of Green Beret for the Amiga doesn't just feature a great rendition of the NES Rush'n Attack OST created by the talented DJ METUNE (Martin Eriksson, Amiga's Rygar musician, but the latest update has a choice of soundtracks between OG Arcade or the one based on the NES version, 2 selectable difficulty levels, minor improvements and more you'll just have to experience for yourselves :).

  4. Wouldn't mind support for RTG screenmodes. And of course online high score tables using bsdsocket.library

    1. Neither of those seem particularly likely to ever happen in a Scorpion game. 😅
