Electroman - An early ( alpha? ) version of Electroman for the Commodore Amiga AGA

Another interesting news story has just hit our inbox and one I think Commodore Amiga gamers might be interested in trying out, is the recently announced Amiga game of 'Electroman'; An Alpha version of a game port that was originally released by Messrs, Janusz Pelc and Maciej Miąsik for the MS-DOS platform. In light of this news, not only do we have some info from tukinem who is the creator of this port, but Saberman was kind enough to provide another game play video viewable below.

Here is what was said via the forum link (HERE). "I think the game is mature enough to be presented to the world. Ladies and gentlemen, here I present the game port, which I have been creating for about a month and a half. Apart from pinball, which was not entirely convincing, this is my second attempt to create something under AGA. This time is better. I ripped everything myself manually after screenshots from Dosbox-x. I have robbed sound events from Youtube to IFF. I created music for the game myself in Protracker. The game engine is largely a copy of the Tony engine because the games are very similar to each other. To the point".

"Introducing the Amiga early version of ( alpha? ) Electroman, i.e. the foreign version of the Electrobody game, once created by Messrs. Janusz Pelc and Maciej Miąsik for the MS-DOS platform. The game, as I wrote, requires Amiga from AGA. It's good to have a fast frame so far, but ultimately you won't have to have it to play smoothly. Oh and there are bugs! As this is an early version, all sound events are not yet available and not all collisions are working".

  • - universal joy / keyboard control with space
  • - when we stand on the teleport, we move down to another place in the game
  • - the entire map of the first level is restored
  • - we have several types of shooting, all recreated
  • - opponents are recreated in full animation, but I still have their logic when they walk and when they stand and shoot
  • - in my opinion the animation of the main character is quite faithfully reproduced, although it could always be better
  • - on stubborn 2MB chip frame without fast frame, but in some chambers it will be slower ( exactly where part of the graphics is applied to the player ), but it will be repaired over time
