Well, this is brilliant news, especially if you enjoyed Roartj's hit top down Shoot 'em up game called 'Wings of Fear'. As checking through my messages this evening, I was told that the same developer has recently announced he is now working on the sequel called 'Wings of Fear II' for the Commodore Amiga. While the game is in a very early stage of development however, provided below are a few new screenshots showing how good the game looks thus far and that it is now a side scroller and not top down like the prequel.
Here's the latest. "I have started working on the sequel to Wings of Fear. I have a long way to go. But once again with the help from https://mixelslab.itch.io/ I now have parallax. I super happy with the start. So hopefully this will be a better and more fun game in many ways. Fingers crossed 🤞"
- Type: Sidescroller shoot em up
- Platform: Amiga AGA (Sorry, but I can not limit my self with the colour palette!)
- Tools: I use Asprite, Resprite, Tiled, Goldwave and Scorpion Engine.
- Release date: I am aiming for november/december this year (2026)
AGA is fine, as long as you can make the most use of its capabilities. Presumably this is tricked out with "AGA-level" sprites, dual playfields and copper trick right?

DeleteSorry not dual playfield. But I use all the sprites for the background parallax. Two layers. So the rest is "bobs" :D
DeleteOf course AGA is fine. Even if the game don't fully exploit the AGA chipset, AGA is still fine. There should be no pressure on the dev. It's damn fine that someone is making the effort to create new Amiga games in their spare time.
