Mundialito 2 - Love Football/Soccer then check out this upcoming Commodore Amiga game by Acneproduction [UPDATE]

Acneproduction has revealed Mundialito 2, a high-energy sequel born from a lifelong passion for the beautiful game. Built with a "retro-first" mindset, this title aims to recapture the frenetic, wide-eyed joy of childhood gaming. While still in active development, Mundialito 2 promises a massive roster of 32 international teams all vying for championship glory. The final release is set to feature two distinct ways to play: Classic Mode: For those who crave a traditional simulation experience and Arcade Mode: A chaotic twist where game-changing power-ups and bonuses appear directly on the pitch to aid your team or sabotage your rivals.

In an impressive feat of coding, the game is being developed entirely in BASIC. Because of the technical demands of this approach, the developer has specified that the game is designed exclusively for the Amiga 1200 with 2MB of RAM to ensure smooth gameplay speeds. Players can jump into the action using an ADF image, making it compatible with emulators like WinUAE or transferable to real floppy disks for those running original hardware. Controls are kept intentionally simple: a quick tap of the fire button handles passing, while a long press unleashes a powerful strike on goal.

UPDATE : A new demo has been released with the following being said "Fixed a few bugs, refined some routines, arranged the players more evenly across the pitch to give the action a chance, improved passing accuracy, tweaked the AI, made a few graphical adjustments, and added just one frame of a cheering crowd (the RAM is almost maxed out, but you need a little life in the stands!!!). I've added a diving header to take advantage of every damn opportunity to put the ball in the net. As requested, the adf has an icon to install the game on HD. What more can I say? We're almost there... I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supports me. Thanks again everyone, and if you have ANY suggestions or bug reports, don't hesitate to contact me. One last recommendation: for your first few games, leave the pitch at its default... and try the ARCADE version... it's hilarious!!!"  "

    2. Tried the game now and it is fun. You got a lot going for it. I think the game could be optimized to run a little faster or smoother. This is on A4000/30@25. Where there is through inn it takes to much time. It would be nice if you can release a HDD version. It would make it more easy to test. Keep on the great work!

Thanks so much for the compliments, but... no way!!!! This is a nostalgia game and MUST use the same hardware as before...It may seem complicated but with a little practice I assure you that you will be able to master the controls.
