Vespertino - This upcoming Racing Simulator for the Amstrad CPC looks incredible

If you thought Alien 3 and Xevious 128k was going to be the only highlight this year, then prepare for a shock. As we've just been tweeted via a good friend of ours that the upcoming Amstrad CPC racing game called 'Vespertino World Racing", is not only still being worked on, but as of this week a new trailer has been launched showing just how good this game looks. Yes indeed from the same team who worked on the amazing Amiga to Amstrad CPC port of Pinball Dreams and through 28 years of productions for several productions, comes a new game that will apparently eclipse them all!

Welcome to Vespertino, which is being shown as real in game footage running on an Amstrad CPC above. A game that will feature 16-bit performance, a 3D CRTC-FX Engine, 25fps in game, Full Overscan, True Speed Feeling, have enhanced Video Modes,  include PRI technology, have UFD Sprites, the largest 8-bit OST, multiple car choices, different tracks to race across the world, and finally will push the CPC beyond any limits thought possible working on all models without any AI... ( Other than the trailer ;) ).

Release : TBA

  1. This looks stunning. They first showed video of it 7 years ago, I can see why it's taken this long just by the amount of sprites alone! The animation cycles are SO smooth <3

    1. At the end of the video it says:
"For amstrad CPC classic. CPC plus compatybile"
So I would guess for all CPCs.

  6. Wow, what a game. Maybe I finally will hook up my 6128 which I bought 5 years ago and never had time to even plug it and power it up (I have only checked it if it works at the guy from whom I bought some upgrades for it)
