Scramble Arcade - An incredible conversion coded by Epy for the Commodore Plus/4

Over 40 years after the birth of an arcade legend, a groundbreaking new release is redefining what the humble Commodore Plus/4 can achieve. Coded by retro-development maestro Epy (Géza Eperjessy), Scramble Arcade has officially landed on the system, delivering a breathtaking 1:1 conversion that matches the original 1981 coin-op machine pixel for pixel and collision for collision. To coincide with this news, while we wait for Saberman's updated video, there's further details below. 

Scramble RX - A classic 1980's retro shoot em up gets an enhanced ZX Spectrum version by happycodingzx (+Demo)

I was just thinking to myself we need some decent Saturday news, and thankfully we've just got some! As looking through my inbox, we've been told that the classic arcade game of 'Scramble', has just got a brand new RX version by none other than happycodingzx of The Midnight Brew. The same creator behind other amazing games such as Pacman RX, Lunar Rescue RX and Roust. To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a video showing the game not only looking better, but it has smoother scrolling than the original ZX Spectrum version from 1983 too.

Thanks to an early morning heads up from Saberman, we have recently been told that the eagerly awaited Arcade conversion of 'Scramble' which is in development by JOTD for the Amiga, has just been teased with a brand new beta build that's almost 100% Arcade perfect. Yes indeed a game which was also originally released way back in 1983 as Skramble developed by Darrell Etherington still looks to stay true to the original but features a smooth frame rate, classic graphics, and top quality blasting 1980's action.

This has been one of the best Decembers I can remember for hot new games for a multitude of systems, we've had the awesome release of Sonic The Hedgehog on the C64 and even the Toki inspiration as Tokimal on the ZX Spectrum. But now as surprising heads up from our good friend Milo, he has told us 5 O'Clock Software has released the eagerly awaited Scramble Infinity on the C64: A game which not only features amazing graphics and coding by Mirage, but the game has finally been finished after disappearing off the face of the Earth way back in 2009

Welcome to a new side scrolling Shoot 'em up for the C64 called 'Scramble Infinity';  A game which not only features amazing graphics and coding by Mirage(link), but going by what we know so far from the C64 community, the game has finally been finished after disappearing off the face of the Earth way back in 2009 when development was supposed to have started.

In March of this year (yes it's still March :p) PuzCPC released a very nice side scrolling shoot em up Amstrad port of a much earlier game which was originally released way back in 1983 as Skramble developed by Darrell Etherington. The actual release name was ' Scramble ' which was also the original name of the game released in February 1981 developed by Konami and distributed in North America by Stern Electronics.  So why am I talking about Scramble again? Well benjames171 recently released his own inspired version of Scramble, but this time as a bullet hell shooter called Galaxy Force

This version developed by PuzCPC, stays true to the original but features a smooth frame rate, great Amstrad graphics, great music and sfx by Thargan, and top quality blasting action.

I was just thinking to myself could this day get any better, and going by the latest update on the AtariAge forums, it has! Welcome to 'Scramble'; a very nice side scrolling shoot em up Atari 5200 port of a game which was originally released way back in 1983 as Skramble developed by Darrell Etherington. This version developed by Playsoft, stays true to the original but features a smooth frame rate, great Atari 5200 graphics and top quality blasting action.

3D Skramble - Classic isometric shoot 'em up gets a fresh release


For those that don't remember Scramble, it was a classic early horizontal shoot-em-up where you had to blow up ground targets and missiles with bombs or bullets and navigate increasingly difficult terrain. It was so popular, it spawned many home computer conversions, and also this great fun isometric 3D version from LiveWire Software UK (1984). It's Zaxxon meets Scramble with all the best features of the original game, plus an extra dimension.

Scramble - Impressive detail for a classic Shoot em up Atari 2600 port!


In June of this year Thomas Kite, with source trainer by Laxity, released a very nice side scrolling shoot em up C64 port of a much earlier game which was originally released way back in 1983 as Skramble developed by Darrell Etherington. The actual release name was ' Scramble ' which was also the original name of the game released in February 1981 developed by Konami and distributed in North America by Stern Electronics. A game that is a joy to play with lots side scrolling action, has now been given the Atari 2600 treatment by johnnywc with very impressive graphics as a port of Konami's Scramble.
