Survive the Week - A sims style Amstrad game released by Carlos Perezgrin

Even more Amstrad news to get through over the next couple of days and more so considering the amount of games entered into the CPCRetroDev 2021 competition, as we've yet again been informed by Xenomorph, that Carlos Perezgrin, Antonio Pérez and Ricardo Oyón have released their new Amstrad game called 'Survive the Week'; A game in which you play as Roland and must get through the week ahead either by boring routines or just going for a night out and having fun! 

Top 11 Amstrad CPC Games of 2020

The year 2020 was a bit of a rubbish time for most people of the world... but there was some bright lights that were shone. Coders for the Amstrad CPC got hard at work and produced some of the finest games seen in many years. The amount of quality in particular was a step ahead of previous years, so making this Top 11 was trickier than ever before to wheedle down to the best 11.

This year's CPCRetroDev 2018 has been mouth watering for the Amstrad CPC as throughout the competition we have seen many fantastic entries announced such as Jarlac, Legend of Steel, Operation Alexandra, The Adventure of Timothy Gunn, OPQA vs QAOP, Crimson Knight Adventures and many many more making a grand total of 41 enteries. Well as the competition is over, we finally have a winner and out of all of them the top spot was taken by..... Operation Alexandra!

The Amstrad has gone crazy this month as there have been so many games mentioned for the CPCRetroDEV 2018 competition, that the record has been broken for submissions, with a massive number of 41 games entered! Which beats the previous 29 by a big margin. In fact we have already mentioned some of the hopeful winners already as Legend of Steel,  The Adventures of Timothy Gunn and even Operation Alexandra that hope to be crowned overall winner.

Top 11 Games for the Amstrad CPC in 2017

2017 was yet again another fine year for homebrew and indie releases for the humble CPC, again boosted by CPCretroDev's yearly competition, but many more games made their way onto the Amstrad from some very talented programmers. Shining, Keith Sear, Naverro, McKlain, 4mhz and more were very busy indeed. The quality of the games has rose to amazing standards, so choosing a Top 11 was tricky to say the least.

But lets look back at 2015 and see the best of the best from the fans, and see what to expect over the course of 2016. These are my choices for the best new games to hit the Amstrad in 2015, and because I like to be different I have chosen 11 for your inspection. Some of these are total crackers!
