It’s an adventure with a great sense of humor and very good gameplay, as your task was to accomplish the “Heist of the Century” with a mission to break into a Spanish bank. Problem was, you didn't have the tools and even that required you to steal them before you could accomplish your goal. Well here are with another Goody update, as both XeNoMoRPH and Saberman has contacted us to tell you, that the Amstrad sequel by 21blocks called 'Goody, The Return' has been released!

Top 11 Games for the Amstrad CPC in 2017

2017 was yet again another fine year for homebrew and indie releases for the humble CPC, again boosted by CPCretroDev's yearly competition, but many more games made their way onto the Amstrad from some very talented programmers. Shining, Keith Sear, Naverro, McKlain, 4mhz and more were very busy indeed. The quality of the games has rose to amazing standards, so choosing a Top 11 was tricky to say the least.

Back in the days of the 8-bit wars, quality control was not a stringent as it is now, and many games were developed under restrictive conditions or tight deadlines, or the wrong programmer was chosen. Whatever the reasons, many games released were, to put it bluntly, total garbage. Honest fans of their respective systems will fondly look back on these mess of bytes, so here I give you my Top 11 Terrible Amstrad CPC Games. This list is a combination of my personal preference, magazine reviews and polls conducted in the Amstrad forums, and features a host of Youtube CPC fans including Xyphoe, Chinnyvision and Zoe Kirk-Robinson. Prohibition Remake - JavaCPC Games owner remakes a classic Amstrad shooter in Java

Markus Hohmann of JavaCPC Games has contacted us to let us know about the latest Amstrad Java remake of Prohibition that is available for download for PC and Mac. First released in the early 80's in the Arcades and then ported over to the Amstrad in 1987 by Inforgrams, this remake is of the Amstrad version and features gun blasting first person action with mouse support, tv filters, difficulty modes, and even sweet swinging background music.

Over these last few days a few members have been commenting that we don't do enough Amstrad CPC releases, which to be fair is true, however this is difficult for us because there hasn't really been any new CPC titles to talk about unlike the C64 and ZX Spectrum.
