Chris Wilkins must be overjoyed with the news today as after just a few days worth of campaigning and through our big feature, his latest book of ' The Story of the Commodore 64 in pixels ' is now a Kickstarter success. Raising £20,867 pledged of a £20,000 goal with still 27 days to go, the project creator who is also the creator behind ZX Spectrum Story in pixels vol 1, vol 2 and The History of U.S. Gold is now hoping to reach further stretch goals such as a brand new album from Linus and GH, and if raised up to 55K : each book will come in a presentation box!
But wait there's more! If you think you are just going to get a lovely book full of interviews and gaming you'd be surprised to know that anyone that pledges £60 or more will get a brand new C64 game by Trevor Story and Georg Rottensteiner called 'Barnsley Badger'. Which looks to be highly detailed C64 platformer, with a hint of Monty Mole and containing a fantastic upbeat SID tune!
Certainly a worthy Kickstarter indeed and it came as no supprise to read of this success today, but there's still time to further push those goals and hope for more interesting pledge packages such as cards, canvas and prints.
