The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall in Unity - EPIC retro RPG remastered now playable start to end!

RPG fans and retro gamers alike prepare to have your minds blown, as we've recently come across an announcement by our good friends DSOgaming, that Gavin “Interkarma” Clayton has been working on Daggerfall Unity, and has released the first stable version of it with the main result being Daggerfall Unity now playable start to end! What incredible news this is, as The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall was released in 1996 as a fantasy open world RPG and is regarded as one of the most amazing RPG's of all time.. With it being ported over to Unity, you'll be able to experience this wonder with high res textures and high grade visuals and even mouse look!

According to the description the coder has spent the last few months playing through the story quest, building out engine support and fixing all the major bugs he could find, but the development still has a long way to go especially relating to the spell system. However thanks to to regular contributors like Nystul, Allofich, Hazelnut, and Lypyl, some of the later features on the roadmap are building out ahead of schedule.

As for anyone wishing to play this milestone of releases, it might be worth reading the "getting started" on the website as it goes on to say "You can either start a new character and play normally (using quests offered by any Fighters Guild to help level up between main quests) or use the “setmqstage n” console command to force the game to a specific point along the main quest process. There are 7 total quest stages, thus “setmqstage 1” through “setmqstage 7” are supported"
