Bopscotch - Classic "runner" gets a September release date!

We were just informed by those rather kind bunch of people at Leda Entertainment, who we've met at Geek 2014. That Bopscotch will be available for Windows Phone, Android and iOS mobile devices, and also Xbox360 this September 2014! As someone who has played Bopscotch, this is a "runner" style of platform game that everyone should play with a friend, and as you'll see from my game play view it's just so much fun.

Gameplay View from Geek 2014 : Once again I had the pleasure of playing another Indie game during the Geek 2014 event and this was one of those games. Developed by Leda Entertainment, the same company behind the fun Leda Arcade Collection have gone for a different direction in style with Bopscotch. In this title you play as a bouncing character who bounces across platforms and traps while collecting candy. It's not easy either, especially in two player mode as you race to reach the final lap while laughing at your opponent falling on the many sharp devices.

Although I did have fun in the game, I found the button response with jumping slightly lacking but the developers assured me this was still being worked on. Also in the short discussion we had, this game is likely to appear on handheld devices and can be played via wireless against each other. So all in all, with a few tweaks this game could be a winner. Even at it's current stage, gamers flocked to play it and another machine was needed so everyone could play.

As you can tell from my game play view and the video trailer, the game has come a long way since I last played it, with nearly 90 levels of colourful backgrounds, an adventure mode, a race mode, the ability to customize your character and the new feature of being able to play phone to phone.

It is certainly a game worth buying, but at the end of the race, who's to say if you'll still have a good friend, it's that competitive.
