Disciples Of The Storm - Game classic reboot aims for Kickstarter funding

Way back in 1997 Titanic Entertainment and published by Activision released 'NetStorm: Islands At War. An online game as you battle across a number of islands each one controlled by an individual player. This great retro title with a very large fan base following later spawned a reboot called 'Disciples Of The Storm' developed by Storm Isle Productions, which became a Steam Greenlight success and is now aiming for Kickstarter funding. Classed as a unique, fast-paced, real-time, complex strategy game with elements of role playing developed by the fans and with the help of the original developers, is now seeking your help to raise $50,000 as a Kickstarter goal.

According to Storm Isle Productions, Disciples of the Storm is an RTS set in the fantasy world of Sonus where an ancient feud between the deities, known as Tempests, have torn the world apart leaving little more than raging storms below and skies filled with floating remnant of islands where the people of Sonus now live. The four factions of rain, wind, sun and thunder must battle to survive in this harsh climate gathering resources and gain favor from the Tempests.

The developers are also overhauling the game to bring it up to modern standards but remaining as true to it's retro gaming roots as we loved all those years ago. With your help through funding they will create a sold, playable foundation, with fully functioning multiplayer, a wide tech tree, dozens of spells, new faction units and an updated GUI with tutorials.

Thus if you remember the original game and you fancy reliving that incredible island battling experience once more but with more up to date features, make sure to give Disciples Of The Storm as much funding as possible.
