Pyramid - ZX Spectrum action shooter remade for the PC

The last Langford Productions remake to be mentioned today is the ZX Spectrum game that's been given a modern PC overhaul, ' The Pyramid '. First released in 1983 by Fantasy Software, and one of the remake developers favorite games, having written a version for the Amiga back in the 1990's. You play as Ziggy, who sits in a little bubble spaceship armed with a laser beam and must blast his way through the enemy waves, collecting diamonds to unlock the force field to move onto the next screen.

Unlike the other remakes, you could almost class this as a complete overhaul, as even though the game play is the same including movement patterns, the entire game is far different graphically in both sprite design, character design and background graphics. Plus there are three added bonus screens based on the original sequel ' Doomsday Castle ', ability to save your progress and a brand new end of game boss.
