Right through Christmas day I had the pleasure of playing Hokuto Force's latest port preview remake of the Konami classic from 1981, ' Frogger '. It was actually called ' Frogger Arcade ' and remade for the C64 by Inyaksa more in line with that Arcade version unlike the original. However as it was just a preview and still needed more work, Hokuto Force has released an updated version 2 which adds not just an ntsc version, but improved collisions, changes thanks to various suggestions, improved multiplexer to manage two snakes on a line and the ability to start a new player by pressing the joy 2 fire button
In my honest opinion I don't see this game being far off from being a full release, as the sound effects, the music and smooth gameplay really brings back memories of those Arcade days of throwing away lots of coins for an extra play through.
As such I really feel Hokuto Force has an Arcade winner on their hands and I hope it gets a Winter release as people will want something fun to blow away those gloomy days.
