Hyper Sentinel - A modern Uridium aims for a Kickstarter success....Again

In the early 80's right up to the early 90's, Hewson Consultants made games for old retro computers, that showed a reputation for producing high quality titles which continually pushed the boundaries of what the computers were capable of. Games such as the fantastic Uridium and Paradroid were just some of the games they released. But fast forward to this week however and the team behind that famous company has now launched another Kickstarter (after their previous one failed), for their latest shoot em up 'Hyper Sentinel', which takes the classic Uridium, gives it a good going over and blasts it into the modern age!

In this game you control the mighty Sentinel, the most advanced hyper-drive equipped fighter in the fleet. Designed to launch a surprise attack on the Alienoids' most feared space destroyers and to outmanoeuvre their defences. Collect epic power ups such as bonus points, invincibility, smart bombs and buddy drones. Blast waves of enemies such as the evil alienoid or the horde class and lastly, destroy the most powerful of all, the level guardians such as the Viper Shell, Viper or the Sauceroid!

If that wasn't enough of a teaser for you, The team behind the game Andrew Hewson & Rob Hewson, with development by Jonathan Port, Rob Fenn and John Ogden. Has said Hyper Sentinel is a love letter to old-school arcade action and the computer shoot 'em ups of the 1980s, but supercharged with beautiful 4K graphics, and a heart-pumping SID style soundtrack all running at a blistering 60 frames-per-second!

So head on over to the Kickstarter page, download the awesome 3 level demo and pledge Hyper Sentinel to a success for Steam, PS4, Xbox One, Android and iOS.
