Isle of the Dead - In development Text based adventure with the undead!

Way back in the early days of computing many of us had the joys of playing text based adventures, whereby you were flooded with words, shown the odd landscape image and had to work out what the hell you were supposed to type to continue the story. It was certainly a time David Taylor enjoyed, as only recently he sent us two exclusive images for his in-development text based adventure ' Isle of the Dead ', which as you guessed it features Zombies and thousands of rooms to explore!

When asked for more information regarding the game, David told us the story was very special to him, as he has always dreamt of making an exploration game, rather than wiping out the zombie hoards you see in such TV shows as The Walking Dead. So instead of getting guns at the ready and aiming for the head, he has decided to make something different whereby your experience in the game will be based on fright and graphics, and being able to travel and converse with other characters.

Although he has stated there are zombies in the game though they are mostly chained to walls as experiments, tied to trees by a group of campers who've forged a society in the woods, and even where one tries to go fishing. But in regards to the zombies, some of you may wonder what's the point of having zombies if they are no threat and are just a visual piece, well not so. As if you actually interact with the zombies you can die, and also there is a hint of a dangerous path filled with infected animals.

Certainly a cool sounding text based adventure, as when the developer finished off with his response that he has a love for the genre and the art behind it all, with a goal of 1000 rooms, and there's everything from zombie whales, to a crazed bible cult, and even zombie worshippers. I just can't wait to play it!
