I know our readers like great finds so here's one that I think you'll like, it's an in development remake of Maniac Mansion by Edison Interactive called ' The Night of the Meteor '.Originally Maniac Mansion was released way back in 1987 as a graphic adventure by Lucasfilm Games for the C64, Apple II and DOS, it was highly praised and even today is still regarded as one of the best adventure games of its time. So it stands to reason why a team of people have decided to remake the game in much higher quality detail.
But that's not all, as this isn't just a spit and polish of the graphics, as Edison Interactive have decided to give the game their own special touch with more puzzles, more dialogue, more animation as well as adding more sound and music to the classic adventure. Basically they want to make the game look as close to Day of the Tentacle as possible, while keeping to the brilliance of the original game. Certainly this could be a worthy addition to a long line of remastered and remade games that have appeared over the years, but lets just hope it even keeps the Purists happy! - Thanks to @gnomeslair for the heads up.
