Super Mario Bros. 3: The Forgotten Worlds - Unofficial direct sequel to Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels

It seems as if Mario has taken over Romhacking, as during the last month or so, we've seen countless rom hacks released that either change the game into a different story, or completely overhaul the game with new graphics. Once such Mario game, as in Super Mario Bros, has got a new rom hack today and it's called 'Super Mario Bros. 3: The Forgotten Worlds' by szemigi, an unofficial direct sequel to Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels.

First released in 1986 as Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels, as a sequel to the hit classic Super Mario Bros. The original lost levels were very similar in style and gameplay to that of the first game, but being much more difficult, no two player option, and gameplay setbacks such as poison mushrooms and even level warps that were more of a hinder than a bonus. Super Mario Bros. 3 - The Forgotten Worlds however, is an unofficial direct sequel to Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels with not just new levels, but as in the case of the other releases we've come across, feels like an entirely new game. Oh and to those of you who downloaded the previous version, today's update is now 100% tested and fixed As a bonus, a poster has been attached, where you can read the fully worked out and improved plot.

A patching program such as beat or Floating IPS  may be needed to add the hack/patch to the main Super Mario Bros. (Japan, USA).nes Rom, which isn't available here.
