Time Gal - LaserDisc Anime gets a special Amiga early test update! [ UPDATE ]

It's a Monday and the weather is naff, so how about playing the latest Amiga update from our good friends ReImagine Games 'Time Gal' version 1.2 [See Update]. Now if you've followed our news previously would've read that LaserDisc support was added to the Amiga emulator WinUAE, as generally LaserDisc games were played via an Arcade cabinet using Amiga 500 hardware, along with a genlock and a laserdisc player. And so it's with great pleasure to announce that our previous mention of Taito's 1985 LaserDisc game Time Gal, has not only had an OCS update but there's also an AGA version available too!

OCS Left - AGA Right

Although an official version is going to be released in the next week or so and will be updated via this article. According to EAROK he has released a test version which he is hoping you'll be able to test to give him feedback before the eventual release. He also goes on to say the OCS versions have one bug fix (prevent keyboard/mouse interacting with the background) and one new feature (Watch All Scenes mode). As well as AGA versions have both of those plus higher quality HAM8 animations. So if you want to give them a test, make sure to hit the download links provided below.

Road Avenger AGA has a minor bug (death scenes don't play in 'watch all scenes' mode) and also has artifacting issues AGA Disc version won't work on a CD32 due to the drive speed, but the AGA HDD version could be installed to a hard drive equipped CD32. HDD versions are recommended to be played from no-startup-sequence mode.
