Harrier Attack - After more than 37 years, a copy of this tape has finally surfaced on the Atari XL/XE

To our amazement within the last few hours thanks to a heads up via Saberman, we have just found out some very special news for any Atari XL/XE owner. As Harrier Attack, a game which appeared on the CPC, C64, Oric and ZX Spectrum has now appeared on the Atari XL/XE. As in the words of Wesmond" As after 37 years I can confirm that "something Atari" exists for it, and I got that "something" from ebay. The inlay looks like it was originally an Oric inlay, with an Atari sticker put on top, which has mostly worn off but it loaded on a real 800xl".

Although a fully detailed write up can be found on the Atari Age forums which describes the find and how it came to be as you see it today. In terms of the game play however , you play as a British Harrier Jet, and must fly across the landscape on bombing runs destroying both enemy buildings and aircraft.  Just be aware not only do you have to avoid enemy flack but you also had to keep an eye on your Rockets, Bombs and more importantly Fuel, before returning to the Carrier.
