Dracula Story - A rather enjoyable Atari XL/XE game that's still in beta via Grevle

Here on Indie Retro News we do love writing about the Atari XL/XE, especially with fabulous games being mentioned such as the Prince of Persia port, and the previously released Arcade shoot 'em up of Screaming Wings. Thankfully there's no let up in this greatness however, as thanks to a heads up from our good friend Saberman through Facebook, we've been told you can try out the latest beta of Grevle's in development Arcade game of 'Dracula Story'.

Yes indeed welcome to another mention for the Atari XL/XE; A game that doesn't just feature many different styles of gameplay such as jumping over nasty objects to attack enemies or turning into a bat to defeat an evil priest, but the game looks to be a nod to classic Atari 2600/7800 games with early 80's graphics, sound effects and much much more. So yes this is one game I can't wait to play when it comes out of beta and is a fully featured Atari XL/XE title!

  1. This. Is. Awesome! The dev has completely captured what a game was in the early 1980s. The sounds, the graphics. Perfect. This could have been a full release game on something like the Mattel Intellivsion as well. I have to say, and I speak from personal experience, there's nothing worse than being a vampire and meteors coming down from the sky @ 2:15. Good job Saberman!

    1. But I agree completely this would've been awesome on the Atari 2600/7800!
