If you have an upgraded Amstrad CPC 128k or an upgraded GX4000, then you are going to love this latest news story. As thanks to the hard work of Amstrad GGP, you can now play the eagerly awaited 'Mighty Steel Fighters'; A rather unique looking version of Street Fighter which looks to be using a similar character design to that of the chibi art style NES game of 'Mighty Final Fight'! In light of this news announcement, you can check out the latest footage of the game viewable below.

According to the website.... "the Amstrad 464 is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and, on this occasion, they are happy to present their game Mighty S. Fighters GGP. The gameplay is adapted to the machine like our good old cpc games, with a visually inspired chibi style, all mixed with their personal touch and GGP humor. Furthermore, the game will have 8 characters such as those from the original game such as Ryu and Guile, an easy to use menu system, a tutorial and training stage, have further stages with unique backgrounds, and a multitude of fighting styles to use including "hadouken"".

  • Code/Graphx : MaitrejoeGGP
  • Zics/SFX : JackGGP
  • Samples : roudoudou
Requirements : No cartridges required. A floppy drive, GoTek, or mass storage is sufficient with a simple 512 KB RAM expansion.

UPDATE : Even though the game was released in December of last year. Today the team behind the game has made available a new 1.2 update. These changes/fixes include Sprites improved by ~20%, Tong Po is now playable, Ram Detection, and much much more!

  2. I just played on it for almost 2 hours, it hasn't happened for a long time. You need 512k of memory, but I have the ulifac2 with my 464. The graphics are very beautiful, the game is fluid, I didn't expect such a surprise. Well done to the team.

    1. Haven‘t played it yet, but I don‘t think it is that much of a problem.
But I would have named the game differently: Chibi Fighter :-)

    2. Agreed. Simplify the graphics a bit like the c64 version so it's easier to see what's going on.

  6. My opinion after playing it, good sensations for an amstrad game, it's beautiful and well proportioned for this fluidity. I'm hyped.

  8. It seems from the video you just have to go to the opponents and dash buttons. Has anyone tried to play and is this really a game ?

    2. I am the author of the video... it is played on low difficulty mode, put it on hard mode and add turbo mode and then you will see

  9. The update is really great, when I read some comments I think they didn't play because in the video the guy chose the easy difficulty.

  13. All very cool, but you're asking for trouble from Capcom by charging money for this. I'm not saying you should give the game away for free, just that approximations of names is less likely to get your good work disappeared.
