SEUCK Compo 2025 Prize Pack released by The New Dimension for the C64

Throughout this year I've been writing about many of the games that were announced and entered into the SEUCK competition provided by The New Dimension. Games such as Star Skimmer, Spy Kombat and Poltergeist Hellschool. Well fast forward to today however, and with the competition over. The New Dimension has released the SEUCK Compo 2025 prize package. A package that contains all the entries from the competition, as well as enhanced versions of some of the games for you to play right now. In light of this news, Saberman has shown off one of the games called 'Hyper Hive'. A quality shoot 'em up using the SEUCK Redux and the ACME cross-assembler by Richard/TND, Blazon and Martin Piper.

Here's the latest from the website. "The SEUCK Compo 2025 prize package has now been released and features all of the entries that were submitted to the competition. Also included in the prize pack are three enhanced versions of this compo's winner and two runner up games. These all feature new front ends, some possible in game enhancements and some incredible loading artwork with special thanks to Carl (Mase) Mason. The winners enhanced games are first in the list in both D64 (Split into 4 disk sides with a menu on each side) and TAP versions of the prize pack".

  1. No, no, not C64 SEUCK games please. You don't need to cover every Indie game on this site. C64 games are already bad enough, and SEUCK has even more limitations on top of this badness. I had myself SEUCK on my C64 in the 80's, so I know what it is. Interest in C64 SEUCK stuff is very marginal I believe.

    1. I can't pick and choose the games you don't like dude :D - There are some very good SEUCK games out there, plus this is a competition! - Also I tried to cover every indie game out there in the past, it was... Overwhelming ;)

    3. There have been recent improvements to the original SEUCK software. For example, the SEUCK Redux coding framework that uses SEUCK data to create games with many more features, and far superior technical performance. (See this example: https://richard-tnd.itch.io/supersilverfishdx )

    4. Yes, yes, yes please. Every single C64 indie game. Down to the last dribble, divot and drop!

  2. I played all games in the competition and at least the top 3 are really worth playing, SEUCK or not. And the bonus game Hyper Hive would have been a contender for number 1. At first I didn't like it at all, because I played it the wrong way. Second time, I must say, addictive game!
