Even more fantastic news for you all, as just I found out by a good friend of ours that the 1986 Arcade game called 'Jail Break', which was also released on many different systems such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum, is still coming to the Amiga as an arcade conversion/port by JOTD. The same developer who also released many other games such as Elevator Action, Super Xevious 1200, Hyper Sports and many more. In light of this news, provided below is some beta from the game which wasn't created using the Scorpion Engine ;).
If you've never played the game before ( I haven't ), here's the game described by the Wikipedia page. "A 2.5D side scrolling shooter video game where the player controls a cop on foot. The objective of the game is to kill the numerous escaped prisoners along the way while rescuing civilians to earn points. There are two main types of enemies in the game; the ones wearing black and white stripped prisoner pants attack by tossing molotov cocktails at the player, while the ones wearing red and white stripped pants carry a gun and can shoot fast traveling projectiles. The game is comprised of five stages: the street, a park, the harbor, the bridge, and finally inside the jail."

I will wait for the ECS version! great work...
ReplyDeleteThanks. ECS version is currently under active development as we speak ! I think chipmem will be too much for OCS, but ECS will be fine. Warming up for Double Dragon ECS :)
ReplyDeleteHey JOTD, great work as always. Being able to play these games without having a super amiga for mame is a dream come true. Thanks for all your hard work.
ReplyDeletethat's exactly the point! thanks.
DeleteThanks again for your great job in these conversions. They are all very enjoyable classics in our Amigas. Please, could you add Rock'n Rope to your list?
ReplyDeletewell, it's been asked several times. I'll think about it as it's a non-scroller 6809 konami game.
DeleteGood work. Waiting for the RTG release though. #picasso96 #cybergraphics
ReplyDeleteOOOH RTG! Now you're talking. Games through pistorm, HDMI yes please!
