Lincity - A SimCity style game is in development for the Amiga 68k by paulthetall

While the Amiga is legendary for its library of fast-paced action, platformers and shoot 'em up's, developer Paulthetall has introduced a change of pace for the platform with his new game called 'Lincity'. A free and open-source construction and management simulation game, which puts the player in control of managing a city's socio-economy, similar in concept to SimCity. A game that was originally for Windows and later also Linux and BeOS. Now...Its also ported to and available for 68k Amiga!

Here's the latest. "The transition to the Amiga brings more than just a new platform. The original sourcecode had no sound or music, so Paulthetall has added beautiful relaxing soundtracks so you can enjoy in-game music. In Lincity, you can build up your massive city of your dreams with very nice and relaxing soundtracks in the background. Play this game to come to rest after a long day of work (only make sure your city doesn't gets burned to the ground :P)."

The game will contain at least 3 versions:

  • Apollo Vampire supreme version (Supreme audio quality music, 7 awesome and relaxing soundtracks and widescreen support) will be available on the Apollo Vampire-lair.
  • Other Amiga RTG/AHI /Emulator hardware. (standard music with 3 awesome  and relaxing soundtracks and 4:8 resolution)
  • Other Amiga RTG/AHI /Emulator Hardware supporters Edition (Standard music with 5 awesome and relaxing soundtracks and 4:8 resolution) which is $2.
  • The 7 relaxing music tracks can also be downloaded in full HQ separately for $2 for supporting the work and future work (because there are a lot of cool projects planned).

I have tested the game successfully on:

  • - On FS-UAE emulator with Coffin
  • - Apollo 6000
  • - On Retro Pi 500+ with PiAmiga 5
