We haven't finished with the great news just yet, as trawling through the itch io website, we've also found out that BubbleSoft has re-released their amazing game of 'Nixy The Glade Sprite' for the C64; A game that was released some time ago, in which Scotty did a big review of the game, stating that it was highly addictive, very entertaining, and full of beautifully crafted visuals throughout. To coincide with this news, you can view some footage of the game by Saberman which was done last year.

Bubblesoft recently released their wonderful platformer game, Nixy The Glade Sprite for the ZX Spectrum (128k) and Spectrum ULA Plus using AGD (Arcade Game Designer). Previews of Nixy were released earlier this year to a rousing reception. This is my first review on Indie Retro News, so I hope you enjoy!

Our good friend Konstantinos Dimopoulos aka Mr Gnomeslair has recently contacted us through our twitter feed about his latest sci-fi mini adventure game Earthling Priorities, which is now available to play for FREE! This game developed after more than three years spent in quasi-development by a team of people such as Daniele Giardini, Jim Spanos and Chris Christodoulou, is a short, sci-fi, comedic adventure that gives a bit of a nod to that golden classic Space Quest!

CyberMania - Rescuing humans in a new Maze ZX Spectrum game

New ZX Spectrum games are coming thick and fast this week, as after already mentioning two previously, another one has come out to play, and it's Payndz's first attempt at writing a ZX Spectrum game in AGD, ' Cyber Mania '. Regarded as a cross between Robotron, Berzerk and Pac-Man, you play as what looks like an alien of some kind and must rescue humans before they are killed by the increasingly dangerous robotic enemies moving at speed around the maze.

Double Bubble - Insanely difficult ZX Spectrum homebrew (Video Update)

Miguetelo has just released his very first ZX Spectrum homebrew game called 'Double Bubble', which was developed using AGD. If you hate frustrating games then look away now, but if you love a challenge even if it means losing all your hair, then this game will do just that. In Double Bubble, the gameplay is very easy to understand, guide your second bubble around a maze like screen, avoid everything that is deadly, reach the exit and it's a level complete. Sound easy though? NO WAY!

Already this week is starting with a bang for ZX Spectrum owners, as another ZX Spectrum game has appeared that will really put your mind to the test. This is ' Mr.Vitnik ' by Termojad; a new ZX game in Arcade Game Designer that requires you to collect all the blue coloured points to complete the level, and finally to rescue your lady friend from that giant yellow robot like creation.

Nadral - ZX Spectrum shooter based on Atari XL/XE original

Through these last few years, many of you have mentioned to me that you are getting a little bit bored of all the ZX Spectrum platformers that have appeared. Although it is not my fault, it is just the preference of the developer. Today however we have something different to show you and it is NOT a platformer, we actually have a ZX Spectrum shooter to talk about, and this one is called ' Nadral ' which is based on an Atari XL/XE game of the same name and developed by Termojad.

Bubble Monkey Bro's - An ass bubble blowing ZX Spectrum release

Are you ready to blow big smelly bubbles out of your backside? Good! Because in ' Bubble Monkey Bro's ' developed by Gabriele Amore and made in AGD you can do just that. Released for the ZX Spectrum just days ago, you play a choice of the red monkey in single player and yellow in co-op while collecting fruit, jumping from platform to platform and finally collecting the soap to poop out bubbles and kill enemies.
