Gino the Muncher: A Retro Maze Escape Debuts on Commodore 64! Massimo Bonucchi has released a fresh homebrew title for the Commodore 64 titled Gino the Muncher, a charming arcade throwback that pays homage to the maze-running icons of the early 1980s. Designed with a "less is more" philosophy, the game tasks players with guiding the titular Gino through a series of winding corridors. The objective is classic arcade fare: consume every dot in the maze while dodging a relentless squad of hunting ghosts.
Spider Maze 2 - Collect Diamonds and avoid Spiders in this new C64 game by The New Dimension in co-op with Blazon
Saberman is on the ball again for the retro gaming video community, as just recently he's uploaded a new gameplay video of a Commodore 64 game called ' Spider Maze 2 ' which was created by The New Dimension in co-op with Blazon. This game developed using Kick Assembler, CBMPRGStudio V4.7.0 and Exomizer V3.1.2 , is a brand new arcade maze experience in which you play as a yellow faced character and must collect all the diamonds to move onto the next ever harder level!
TantooMan - A challenging Arcade game from delta-machine for the C64 [VOL2 UPDATE]
Don't worry Commodore 64 owners I haven't forgotten about you, as looking through the itch io website, and I've come across a rather cool looking Arcade game called 'TantooMan' for the Commodore 64 by Delta Machine. A game in which playing as TANTOOMAN, you must paint an entire Maze filled with challenges before he can go on his vacation. Xenomaze - A creepy first person maze game for the ZX Spectrum for Halloween
If you're at home and looking for a scary game that fits right in with Halloween, come and check out Red Zebra's ZX Spectrum game called 'Xenomaze'. A first person maze game, that will have you aiming for the exit as quick as possible, before you become food for the monster that is hunting you down. To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a video that has already received feedback such as "too scary, I'm not playing".
Labyrinth - A Remake of the Commodore 64 game Labyrinth for the Amiga
Even though the Caffeine hasn't kicked in yet and I'm still half asleep, I thought I'd give quick a shout out to Kim Fastrup Larsen's new remake update of 'Labyrinth' for the Commodore Amiga. A game in which the developer says "is a remake of a Commodore 64 game published by Commodore in 1983 (not to be confused with the 1986 game of the same name by LucasFilm). Drip 2 - The Sequel - Another Commodore 64 game released by Vector5 Games!
Vector5 Gamers is certainly no stranger to Indie Retro News, creating some rather enjoyable games such as Space Station 23, Laserscape, Jump Out, and our personal favorite for the festive season Santa's Workout. Well if you were hoping for some more games from this creator, then as of today you can play the newest of releases called 'Drip 2 - The Sequel'. A maze based game that in itself is based on the Amiga game by Art Skiles for the Commodore Amiga. To coincide with this news, we've got some footage of the game viewable below.
Dungeon Adventurer - Traverse the maze of a dark Tomb in this new Atari XL/XE game
Thanks to a heads up earlier today from Saberman, we've been told that Tatqoo&Dely has released the final version of their new game for the Atari XL/XE called 'Dungeon Adventurer'. A game in which you must traverse a dark tomb that will only illuminate with the use of the luminous stones! To coincide with this news, if you like games where you have to find your way out of a difficult maze, then make sure to check out the gameplay video provided below.

Escape Room - An exciting maze-adventure game for the Commodore 64
Even though it's getting really late and I'm almost falling asleep at the keyboard (old age? :p), I thought it best to give a shout out to this game that was mentioned to us many times through Twitch, and it's the exciting maze-adventure game of "Escape Room": A Commodore 64 game by fig-labs. A game in which the player will have certain amount of time to solve the maze in the total darkness using torch light only! To coincide with this news, Saberman has included a video and there's a more in-depth write up provided by the developer as well.
Wackopac - A new Amiga Demo which came 6th in the Function 2023 game dev comp!
It wasn't long ago now that here on Indie Retro News, we did multiple features for JOTD's fabulous Arcade conversion of the 1980's hit classic's Pac-Man, a game which was released on the Amiga as Pacman 500. Well if you're looking for more Pac-Man goodness, then we have just been told by Saberman, that Greippi has made available the crazy Pac-Man game of 'Wackopac'; A new Amiga Demo which came 6th in the Function 2023 game dev comp and developed in Assembly.
Scout the Stray - Collect bones and avoid the dog catchers in this new C64 game update
In December of last year we announced the release of LC-Games new Commodore 64 title of 'Scout the Stray'; A maze based game whereby playing as a Stray dog, you had to collect bones while avoid being caught by the dog catchers. Well fast forward to this week and thanks to Saberman giving us the heads up through FB, we've been told that not only does the game now include in-game music, but it has also been updated with some fixes to make the game a far more enjoyable experience. In light of this news, as ever Saberman has done a video of the game being played.
The Two Rogues! - A maze like puzzle game released for the Plus/4 by Olivér Orosz.
We haven't finished with the Plus/4 news just yet, as looking through the Plus/4 World website, we've also come across a new game called 'The Two Rogues' by Olivér Orosz. While the previous game of Stick Man is an Arcade Platformer, this looks to be a maze like puzzle game in which you need to help two rogues collect treasure throughout a number of cellars. In light of this news, just as in the other release we mentioned, we have a new gameplay video of the game below.

New Rally-X - An Arcade conversion of Rally X for the C64 is in the works and it's fab!
It wasn't too long ago that many of us had the pleasure of playing Allan Turvey's Terrapins RX; a Rally X Remix demo which was based on the 1980 game by Namco and official conversion Maze Death Race which was released later in 1983 by PSS for the ZX Spectrum 16K! Well it's time for the C64 to get in on the Rally fun, as thanks to Saberman contacting us today, he has told us that Jake79 with music by Merman is working on a brand new Arcade conversion of Rally-X for the C64 called "New Rally-X".
RANDOMAZER - A super cool maze based puzzle game for the Atari ST/STe and Falcon by anarcholab
Another heads up and surprisingly it's another Atari news story, as thanks to both Saberman and Thomas Ilg who were kind enough to contact us this week, they have told us that anarcholab has released the updated version of their highly enjoyable yet challenging game of RANDOMAZER; A super cool maze based puzzle game for the Atari ST/STe and Falcon, in which you need to guide your marbles to the target. Avoid the obstacles and collect the goodies
Tomb Chaser - A new C64 game from RetroLynx(STF)!
If you're looking for another C64 game to play which isn't a preview, you'll be pleased to know that RetroLynx(STF) has released his arcade maze game of ' Tomb Chaser ' for the C64. This game developed on the Ultimate 64 and written in BASIC V2, requires the player to collect a set amount of gems in a level, before the tomb collapses and you end up as a lost adventurer trapped in the tomb forever.

Minotaur 16k - Will you find your way out in this difficult 16k mini maze game?
Some more Atari 8bit games appearing in our news feed as we've just learnt through the AtariAge forums that xxl has released his Atari 600XL (16KB RAM) mini game of ' Minotaur 16 ', which is a very challenging maze game that also works on the 65XE, 800XE, 800XL, 130XE and XEGS in PAL and NTSC.
Find Exit - Can you find your way out in this timed C64 maze preview?
If you're bored and feel like playing a maze game, then you might be interested to know a new preview with a title of ' Find Exit ' has since been released by IceOut, trainered by Laxity and developed/coded by Charles Grey. The aim of the game? To collect all the energy balls, replenish your depleting energy and find that bloody exit!
