Assembloids - Fast-paced reaction puzzle game out now for the Atari Lynx


Atari Lynx gamers you may be interested in this news update, as we've just been given the heads up by a good friend of ours, that the fast paced action reaction puzzle game of ' Assembloids ', which appeared on the Atari 2600 made by Martin Wendt restricted to just 4k, has now made an appearance on the Atari Lynx! Yes now it's the time of the Atari Lynx to experience this enjoyable game, as thanks to a heads up from Martin, we've been told you can now download Assembloids completely free today as a final ROM.

Caren and the Tangled Tentacles 2 - An incredible C64 adventure gets a sequel tease


For many months now we have been discussing the brilliant Caren and the Tangled Tentacles on the C64 by Oliver Lindau , Martin Wendt and Kamil Wolnikowski. It was released as a downloadable 1.1 version, and then later as an exclusive limited Caren and the Tangled Tentacles V1.3. Which meant that many of us didn't get the chance to play the gorgeous final build. But now we have even better news as Caren and the Tangled Tentacles 2 has been officially announced!

Right from the word go Indie Retro News was one of the first sites to give you the heads up for Oliver Lindau , Martin Wendt and Kamil Wolnikowski's fantastic looking Adventure ' Caren and the Tangled Tentacles ' for the C64. It was a previous winner of the F64GC 2015: Adventure competition and released as a downloadable 1.1 version much to the appreciation and excitement of the retrogaming community. Yet this week the game is looking so much better as a new teaser video has been released of Caren and the Tangled Tentacles V1.3, the Commodore 64 - A Visual Commpendium 2nd edition kickstarter EasyFlash-cartridge version

Lindwendture Project - C64 adventure work in progress tech footage released!


Just last month we gave you the heads up over a brand new adventure work in progress by Oliver Lindau that certainly looked most impressive as a contribution for a C64 game creation competition in the German Forum64. Titled "Lindwendture Project" in a Lucasfilm style design, the developer today has released a tech footage which shows scripting such as door opening and female character mood changes every three seconds. What the footage doesn't show is any form of gameplay implementation in this development version

As is always the case with our site Indie Retro News we do try to give you the latest in interesting homebrew news, and today's eye opener is Oliver Lindau's work in progress adventure title 'Lindwendture Project' (This name may change). Currently under development as a contribution for a C64 game creation competition in the German Forum64, Lindwendture Project looks to be a Lucasfilm style adventure with high grade detail and fully playable gameplay.
