Is this a new pirates game coming to the C64 by Space Moguls creator C-H Skårstedt?

Here on Indie Retro News we love featuring games at their early stages and watching them develop over the months or years into a fully fledged amazing release. Games such as Eye of the Beholder which is coming to the C64 at some point soon is one such game we've followed with eager eyes. Well fast forward to today however and one game that has caught our attention and is far from a release date, is C-H Skårstedt's upcoming Pirate themed game which coming to the C64 at some point in the near future.

Upcoming text based C64 adventure features Pirate text!

Text Adventures were many of our first forays into video gaming. Similar to the Adventure stories we would get as books each adventure was usually a unique, and fulfilling story combined with puzzles, traps, loot, and enemies. Thankfully many still see this as a rather unique story telling experience, and it's with great pleasure to give a shout out to Mondaysmites upcoming text based adventure game for the C64 which features actual yarrr pirate text based words!

Sid Meier's Pirates! - One of the best games I've ever played, Yarrr!

It is incredible to think that the original Sid Meier's retro gaming hit of 'Pirates!', from way back in the late 80's can still be played today and enjoyed by people of all ages. It had you sailing your very own ship such as a fast sloop, capturing other ships, looking for treasure, sword fighting on deck, and marrying a rather pretty lady! In fact it was a highly addictive game that appeared on the Amiga, Amiga CD32, Apple II/IIGS, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and many others. Treasure Island - A new speccy game in development with a classy Pirate tune!

It's a Thursday and do we have a ZX Spectrum treat for you, as announced through the Russian idpixel website a new game is in development called ' Treasure Island ', that doesn't just look fun to play, but the music sounds absolutely brilliant and you can't help but tap your feet to it. This game which is also being discussed on a Russian forum, is apparently going to be based on the Soviet cartoon ' Treasure Island ' and will be released in 2018, with an inspiration to Dizzy and Pyjamarama.

The Pirates of Dark Waters V2 - Ahoy me hearties a new C64 pirate game
