C64SD V3.0 PRINCESS FLC - The best SD2IEC device improved even further!
Truth be told, of all the C64 devices we've featured so far this is by far one of the best, coming second to the 1541 Ultimate-II. You can read our review (Here) of why it was so good! But enough about our review, today we are here to tell you, the C64SD V3.0 Princess has just got even better with the in development ' Princess FLC (Full Logic Control) microcontroller ' that gives this fantastic device some unique new features, of which you can read below.
UK1541 - The latest C64/C128 product, is now available to buy!
We have just been informed by kisiel that his personally designed SD device with front display, the 'UK1541' is now available to buy. Classed as the Ultimate Killer, although we classed it more as an SD2IEC in between a SD2IEC and a C64SD, gathered a positive review but felt lacking in specific areas such as *.PRG support and fiddly IR Remote. According to kisiel the price for first unit is 55 EURO (+10 Euro delivery worldwide), so a pretty decent price over all.

1541 Ultimate-II - Is this the ultimate device for a C64/128? [ Hardware Review ]
With every review that we had done last year, from the C64SD to the SD2IEC nearly every bit of feedback we've had from our readers so far is, "you should get a 1541 Ultimate!". So thanks to Gideon of Gideon's Logic Architectures we now have that device and tape adapter in our hands for a very special review. For those of you who don't know, the '1541 Ultimate' is a storage solution for your Commodore C64 and C128 home computer. This piece of hardware implements a 'real' 1541 disk drive for Commodore computers and features some impressive goodies that we are now going to feature!
C64SD V3.0 Princess - The first SD2IEC with tap file support [17th DEC Firmware/Menu Update]

Titled "C64SD V3.0 Princess" by Manosoft, it was an incredible SD2IEC hardware device that also had the first Tape(*tap) file support. It is still attached to my C64 today and for anyone else who has the same product will be interested to know that the developer has released the latest firmware and menu update Firmware Princess V0.10.3.F & Menu 1.2. Read on for the change log

Only just last month we were one of the first sites to give the C64SD V3.0 Princess a proper review; an incredible SD2IEC based hardware that also had the first Tape(*.tap) file support. We were so pleased with it, that even today it still remains as one of the most highly regarded devices for the C64 and a favourite amongst C64 retro gamers. Well today that very device has not only had a firmware update but also a new MENU (1.1) with Grab extension functions. Make sure to read the changelog and download from the webpage! Only last month we featured possibly the best way to play C64 cassettes in the form of the UCassette. But this time we are moving onto a piece of hardware that comes highly recommended for old disk based games and the latest homebrew titles, and that is the SD2IEC. The SD2IEC is an SD CARD reader for commodore computers that emulates floppy disk drives like the 1541 and 1541-II. Thanks to ScitechSuppliesLTD who has kindly sent us this nifty little product for review, we will be able to delve into the usage of hundreds of classic C64 games without the fuss of the cassette issues all on an SD device!

Although it's a new area of a retro journey for me as I've recently got hold of a lovely C64C, I was impressed to read of an upcoming device that might just send a tingly sensation down the spines of other C64 owners. A device that according to developers, is from the experience of c64sd v2 INFINITY (by Manosoft) and ITS module (infinity tape sd2iec) (by Hawui1/Manosoft), which emulates both floppy disc and real player datasette's! But there's far more to this bit of kit than meets the eye, so check out the latest preview video and drool!
